Typhoon Sanba Update

 I'd like to show something as a comparison. The two images look similar but they are not. The first was posted on this blog yesterday (HERE) and note the highlighted field in the right column on that and the same field in the image below.

This storm is still strengthening and if all goes as expected it should be a Category Five storm as it hits us. Notice I didn't say passes us by this time. The storm has tracked a little more to the east than originally expected and is now expected to hit Okinawa's east coast instead of slide by along the East China Sea to our west.

The wind speeds on some sites can be confusing as some use meters per second or knots or whatever. So HERE's a handy wind speed converter for you to use. Just plug a number in the appropriate box and hit convert and it will give you the information you're looking for.

If your a local reader, batten down the hatches, hunker down for a bad one and good luck! If you're like me and need to, bug out to a safer location. This one is a monster!
