WWII Japanese artillery shell found on Miyakojima - JapanUpdate.com

A 75mm Japanese artillery shell dating to World War II was discovered on a Miyakojima City school playground a few days ago, but authorities took care of the ordnance without incident.

The Japanese Imperial Army shell was found on the Hirara Dai-ichi Elementary School playground in Miyakojima by a student who dug it up, and then reported it to a teacher.
