Okinawa holds memorial service for war orphans / NHK WORLD English

A memorial service has been held for the first time for children who died at an orphanage in Okinawa Prefecture, southern Japan, after the Battle of Okinawa.

About 60 people, including those who spent their childhood in the orphanage, attended the service organized by Okinawa City.
